I know we have only been rehearsing together a few months, but when does everyone want to start gigging?
The reason I ask is I saw a friend yesterday who I haven't seen in a while. He plays in a band and I'm sure would give us a support slot. He tends to book gigs a couple of months in advance though, so, if we wanted to start gigging in the summer we need to start thinking about getting things booked in now.
(He has just booked a free gig at The Running Horse in town on 13th April. They haven't booked a support band yet. I know it is probably too soon, but does anyone fancy it..?)

I am up for it - wanna start gigging asap to be honest but also want to ensure everything is ready.

My sister hinted that she wanted me to play something at her wedding after party in June, could do an acoustic set?
I think we need to think about Name and Demo before Gigs

Let's just play a few, we will focus when we have a gig to play. Pretty sure we could fill a short support slot 20-30 mins with a bit of focus. Let's do it!
20-30 minute sets be fine, especially slightly off circuit as we grind our teeth ..
Electric open mics (I think): Greyhound in Beeston, Tuesdays from 9 The Volo Golden Fleece? Rose Of England? Bunkers Hill?
Venues: Junktion7 - you can apply to support online!

Me and Jo did an electric open mic at a pub in Warsop. It was in the middle of nowehere, but they had a pub quiz and free chip butties before we went on, so we enjoyed it! Also, apparently the Frog & Onion in Hyson Green have an electric open mic.

On Saturday 21 June we are holding a charity gig at Rock City to raise money for the Paediatric Ward of the Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust. Sadly Martin’s nephew Daniel passed away and his family would like to show their thanks to the hospital for their kindness by donating all money raised from this event to the hospital.
The following bands/artists will be playing: Spirytus The Arcane Benno Blum Ryan Birch
Doors: 6.30pm
Age Limit: 14 +
Ticket Information
Tickets will go on sale at the end of April and we will contact you with further details. In the meantime if you would like a ticket reserved please let either Emma or Martin know. (emma@muzykapromotions.com or stables_martin@hotmail.com)
Tickets are £5 and ALL money raised will be donated to the ward. Ticket cost allows entry into Rock City after the gig (over 18s only).
